I'm sure the old hands will know this site but I thought it might be worth flagging it up for new London searchers.
http://booth.lse.ac.uk/notebooks/

I have been going through it for background to my CUMMING research and there are some gems!
As well as comments about 'prostitutes and sneaks', I came across this page about a part of Hammersmith. I like the comment about the resting place for old sea dogs and his view on ordnance surveyors!

Hi Ken

I had a look at Motco which I have used many times but could not find the Booth map on there?

Double apologies Ron
First for only just now noticing your posting and two for inadvertently (during a Senior Moment) confusing the Univ of Mich/LSE (Ahmadís 1999ver)1898-99ed of the BOOTH map with those of the GREENWOOD 1827 and 1830ed maps. The latter Greenwood being the one available on Motco

The Booth Map could really do with some decent imaging Ė Rod any chance of a collaboration with London (or Michigan in revenge!) Donít know who owns the map or the existing scans which are far from being the best that this important document deserves.
